Fiji wedding attire suggestions.

The weather in Fiji is a perfect 26-31 degrees during they day, and drops to a minimum of 18-19 degrees at night during the Winter months. This temperate, tropical climate makes Fiji the perfect destination for a day or evening wedding at any time of the year.

Any fabric that ‘breathes’ well, like cotton or silk, is perfect for a tropical wedding. For male guests, dark suits can be quite hot in the tropical heat so light colours are preferred.

A wide brimmed hat is a must have for sun-smart guests.  We can arrange the supply of hand-held umbrellas to shield guests from the sun.  Long sleeves can also help shield guests from the sun if you’re getting married outdoors.

If you’re holding the ceremony on the beach then sensible footwear would comprise flat sandals or thongs, making it easy for guests to traverse the sand.  The Fijian people are very laid back and it’s not uncommon to see guests wandering around barefoot. An aisle runner is recommended however as the sand can get quite hot.

If you’re planning an evening reception, then a shawl or light jacket is recommended as the breeze can pick up in the late afternoons and air-conditioned venues can be cool.
